how to turn off email notifications from arlo

If anyone can think of a better way to handle it, or a way to improve my current method, I’m all ears. I feel like this should be possible somehow, I just don’t know how to do it. I wouldn’t want it to record video during this time, just give me a heads up that motion was detected. I could turn on push notifications for the camera while I waited, but easily turn them back off once the delivery was made.

A typical scenario in which I’d like to use this is if I were to order a pizza and am waiting for it to be delivered. What I’d like to do is figure out a way where I could quickly/easily turn on push notifications for one camera without actually arming the system.

The annoyance of that ended up outweighing the benefits so I turned those off. The downside was it would get repeated push notifications any time I came or left the house. This was very handy if I was waiting for a delivery and wanted a heads up that someone was approaching the front door. I wouldn’t have it record video if I was home, but I still had it set to send a push notification when motion was detected. I used to keep push notifications on for the outdoor camera all the time. This works out well from a security standpoint, but there’s one thing I’d like to be able to do as a convenience feature. In order to utilize the cameras as motion sensors, I keep them on all the time and use IFTTT and a virtual switch to arm/disarm the cameras depending on whether I’m home/away. Two are inside, and one is outside facing my front door. I currently have three Arlo cameras in my home.
